He holds various positions like Chairman - South India Chapter of Indian Association of Tour Operators, Indian Chamber of Travel Trade and Air Cargo Association of India, Member of Task Force for development of Tourism in Kerala, Member of the Task Force on Tourism, Member of the Special Task Force for development of Tourism in Kerala, Member of the Planning Committee on Physical Infrastructure of Tourism, Member of the Managing Committee of Trivandrum International Airport Development Society, Member of the Hotel Classification Committee of the Government of India for the Kerala region.

He is a syndicate member of the Cochin University of Science and technology and is the President of Kerala Travel Mart Society, 2002, and he is also the director of Great India Events.

The creative director of Great India Events, for event management is Mr. Natarajan Krishnamoorthy, popularly known as Soorya Krishnamoorthy, who has his own Stage and Film Society – M/s Soorya Stage and Film Society. He is highly reputed among the artists as well as the public. Limca Book of world Records has selected Soorya as the largest cultural society of Asia and Soorya festival as the largest festival of Asia. Mr. Krishnamoorthy was also selected as Limca Man of the Year. He has won many awards including,

· President of India’s national award for Stagecraft and Direction, 1996
· Fellowship of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, 1994, the youngest recipient of the highest honour of the state
· Selected as one in Hundred and one, renowned living Keralites of the Millennium (Prathibha Pranamam), by Government of Kerala
· Selected as one of the ten living Keralites, who has contributed the maximum to the language of Malayalam and state of Kerala, by Kerala Kaumudhi readership survey 2001
· Prathibha Pranamam Award 1994 for outstanding Creative Artiste
· John Abraham award from the Federation of Film Societies of India 1994 for the best run Film Society of the country

· Scripted, Choreographed and Directed the Inaugural and Valedictory functions of National Games, 1998, with 7000 artists
· Scripted, Choreographed and Directed the Inaugural program of the 50th year of Indian independence in 1997
· Scripted, Choreographed and Directed “Pranamam” with 1000 artists, to pay tribute to the great Gurus of Malayalam in 2001
· Conceived and Directed a specially choreographed cultural program in connection with South African National Day and birthday celebration of Nelson Mandela
· Directed “Footprints in my Motherland” on the history of Kerala
· Directed “Kanchanasitha” for Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy
· Presented the first Light and Sound Show in Malayalam

Mr. Rajan Thomas Verghese has an experience of over 25 years in Travel and Tourism industry and specialises in Tourism Management. He qualifies in Tourism Management from the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management.

He is the Corporate Director of ATE Group of concerns and is also the Director of Great India Tour Company. As the Director - Operations of Great India Tour Company, he was instrumental in tailoring innovative Tourism Products and their Marketing. Presently he is actively involved in the Tourism Industry and is a leading faculty member for various institutions in the Tourism Academic field.

He is highly efficient in Management functions, and has been instrumental in the management of Great India Tourism Consultancy Services, great India Tour Company and Great India Events. He will be a definite asset for Management requirements of Great India Events.
